My first guest is the British football writer James Montague, the award-winning author of four books, including When Friday Comes: Football, War and Revolution in the Middle East and Thirty-One Nil: On the Road With Football’s Outsiders. Having seen games in countries as far away and remote as North Korea and Yemen, James is the envy of all groundhoppers like myself.
